Any questions?

How do I request my data?

Email alex_feeney@live.com.au with your request. Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask for access to what we hold, correction of anything inaccurate, or deletion of your information subject to legal record-keeping obligations. We respond within 30 days.

+

What can I ask to be deleted?

Generally any personal information we hold, with two exceptions — records we are legally required to keep, such as financial records under tax law, and information needed to defend a legal claim. We will tell you which categories cannot be deleted and why.

+

Are session notes confidential?

Yes, by default. Limits are: serious imminent risk of harm to you or another person, suspected harm to a child, or a court order or subpoena compelling disclosure. Where confidentiality must be limited, we tell you before disclosure where it is safe to do so.

+

Do you work with anyone under 18?

No. Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information about someone under 18, please email us and we will delete it.

+

What if I am in crisis right now?

This service is not a crisis line. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or are concerned for another person, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 (24 hours). In an emergency, call 000.
